9 Perspectives on a Photography Collection
November 10, 2012 - January 27, 2013
This exhibition mined the extensive photography holdings in the University of Pennsylvania's Art Collection. Gabriel Martinez, Senior Lecturer in Penn's School of Design, served as guest Curator. To mix things up, Martinez invited his eight photography colleagues in the Fine Arts Department, School of Design, to serve as co-curators: Michael Bryant, Nancy Davenport, Jamie Diamond, Anna Neighbor, Karen Rodewald, Sara Stolfa, Brent Wahl, and Tony Ward. The nine curators selected images by a diverse range of photographers, including Edward Steichen, Larry Clark, Helmut Newton, Mary Ellen Mark, and Gordon Matta-Clark.
