Beatrice Fenton was a Philadelphian sculptor known for her whimsical, mythologically inspired fountains. She received her training from Alexander Stirling Calder, who also has sculptures featured around campus. Fenton was a member of the National Sculpture Society, and was awarded the prestigious George D. Widener Memorial Gold metal in 1922 for her work.
