#1982.0008.0013
New York-based artist Nicholas Krushenick was a high-school drop out who served in World War II, helped to build the Major Deegan Expressway, and later went to art school under the GI Bill. In 1969, he adopted a style with bright colors and bold lines, the palatte associating him closely with the Pop Art movement. However, his subject matter was largely abstract without reference to pop culture.
