Philadelphia artist and Penn Alum, Sam Maitin, was a celebrated and prolific print-maker whose colorful work is imbued with movement and joy. Maitin said, “The real business of art to me is to play with form, shape, and color.” This work commemorates US President Dwight D. Eisenhower’s visit to Francisco Franco in Madrid in 1959, solidifying the alliance between the two countries.
