Joseph Goldyne is a printmaker who states his commitment “to the exploration of the cultural, philosophical, domestic, and natural terrain of contemporary times.” Goldyne has produced many images of violins and cellos. This work, Violin (1986), was executed experimentally at Magnolia Editions, and represents a dense mixture of lithography, drypoint, and aquatint.
